Located in New South Wales, West Camden Sewage Treatment Plant is a Sydney Water facility undergoing upgrades to improve odour control across key process areas.

Treadwell was engaged by Downer BMD to deliver the odour control scope, supplying FRP solutions including SureLine® covers, a lift‑in / lift‑out cover system supported by custom pultruded L‑Beams, and odour ducting. The system enabled approximately 1,500 sqm of covers to be installed over the balance tank in just two days, without the need for on‑site fibreglass connections.

The structure’s previous timber decking had deteriorated and needed replacement. GridEX® FRP pultruded grating was selected as it allowed for long spans, while possessing the inherent FRP qualities of being lightweight, corrosion and UV radiation resistant.
